My eyes slowly blinked open. The room was dimly lit by the glow of my bedside lamp. Leon’s arms were wrapped around me, holding me against him.

It was a few moments before I realized the position we were sleeping in. The pillows were on the other side of the bed. We’d exhausted ourselves so much that neither of us had moved.

I glanced at the clock. It was close to three A.M. now. The hours of sound sleep I managed to get made me feel wide awake. Turning toward Leon, I took the opportunity to watch him as he slept.

Reaching out, I traced a line down the long, thin scar that ran along his right eye. The mark wasn’t as thick and prominent as the healed welts on Yakim but it succeeded in ruining the beauty of his face.

A sliver of sadness settled inside me as past memories surfaced in my mind. Leon and his brothers no longer smiled the way they used to. Callum stole the joy from their hearts just as he’d done with me.

I touched his fiery strands and gently caressed his head.

A single golden eye opened. “What are you doing, Princess?”

“You’re so beautiful,” I whispered, tracing the sharp curve of his nose.

An amused grin lit up his face. “What nonsense are you talking about?” Shifting suddenly, he leaped on top of me.

Before I could react, he trapped me underneath him. His fingers curled around my wrists and parted my arms away. Leaning down, he captured my lips.

Heat flowed through my veins at his possessive behavior. The sheet tangled along our ankles as he pressed his body against mine and kissed me deeply.

An embarrassing sound erupted from somewhere down below.

Leon noticed. Breaking the kiss, he looked down at me. “What was that?”

“I’m hungry,” I muttered as my cheeks heated.

A chuckle escaped him as he moved off me. Sitting up, he glanced back at me. “Want me to go buy you something?”

I sat up too and used the sheet to cover myself. “Nope. There’s no need to sneak around when it comes to food now. I’ve taken care of that.”

“Really? How?”

“I told them about my lovely boyfriends who won’t bat an eye if I told them to chop a few arms and legs,” I said with a giggle. “One of the older valets recognized you guys last night. He remembers how close we were and it wasn’t hard to convince him of our relationship. They won’t be bullying me again.”

Climbing off the bed, I grabbed a robe and put it on quickly. “Do you want something to eat too?”

“I’ll eat you,” he said with a predatory glance at me.

“I’m being serious,” I said despite the way my face heated up at his teasing.

“Fine. I’ll eat whatever you bring me.”

“I want a full breakfast,” I said, wrapping the length of my hair into a loose bun. “Eggs, bacon, bread.”

“Get some coffee too.” Stifling a yawn, he stretched his arms and neck. “I’ll be going back soon.”

“It’s not even morning yet,” I complained immediately.
